Hi there. First, I'd like to start off with why I gave you such a rating. I gave you a 5.0 rating because in all honesty, this artwork is a true vision with such an original technique; and it really gives the viewer an impact. It seriously hits you. Okay, on to the actual critique: Vision- 5.0 : As soon as I saw this, I automatically stopped scrolling and clicked it. The colors are absoultey astonishing; to have such bright colors preserved on the face like this? True work. I also love how you tied in the eyeliner to the design as a whole; I think that eyeliner really pulls it together. The branches, (I believe they are branches?) are nicely done; neat, crisp lines are what I like to see. The pink flowers, (again, flowers?) are nicely abstract and at random points on the design. All the colors go neatly together, to give it a cold, wintery, mysterious look. That, I like. Originality-5.0 : Honestly, when people do a magyk inspired make-up image, you see a lot of dark blues, purples, blacks, greens, etc; but here, you added colors that aren't normally found in designs that involve magyk. Also, the way you approached this gave this more of a 'magykcal' look. I especially love the eye; the eye pops, making the piece even more beautiful. (I LOVE that shade of purple, I would sooo have my eyes that color anyday.) Technique- 5.0 : Now, I myself am not a make-up artist, so I don't know that much about technique. But, from what I can see, the technique that you used worked out great. Everything is crisp and precise, easy to follow, easy to look at, not to jumbled up, etc. Perhaps, though, if you added more black liner to the water line? To fully incase the eye in black? That would be my only suggestion, but just to see what it would look like. Finally, Impact- 5.0 : This piece truly stunned me. The colors, as I alread went over, are amazing; nice and bright, perfectly complimentary...etc. I love how all the colors just blend to create this. Now, I know that this was named "Magyk", as I presume that's the vision you were aiming to show everyone. But, not only do I see this as magyk, I also see this as a cold winters garden. The 'branches' and the pink 'blossoms' really remind me of winter. But, that's for the viewer to decide on. --- All in all, WONDERFUL job, and I hope to see more from you. Excellent job. ~Alexandra.
The white round the eye makes it. I haven't seen that glowing effect used before, surprising because it is the obvious alternative to black. Glad people are using other methods of making the eye stand out.
Wonderful! The make up makes me think of a magic place like somewhere, in the forest, under the moon. And the iris color fits perfectly with the concept (it's the moon) and... I just really love it! Great, great job
